Choosing a gutter cleaner in Winter Garden
Decide what you need, ask the right questions, then compare. This guide keeps it to the decisions that actually change the outcome.

Start with the house
Different homes need different jobs. A one-story in a newer subdivision may be a short visit. A two-story with a steep roof needs more gear. A condo or townhome row means several units on one roofline. An older house near downtown might have wood trim that needs a gentle hand.
Decide which of these describes you, then say so. The city's Wikipedia entry notes the contrast between historic districts and very new southern developments, and that contrast shows up on roofs.
Questions worth asking any gutter company, including us
- What exactly does the price include: all runs, all downspouts, haul-away?
- How do you handle two-story or steep roofs?
- What insurance do you carry, and can you show it? This site makes no claims about that, so ask us directly.
- If you find damage, will you tell me before doing anything?
- Do you take photos?
Florida has no source we found saying gutter cleaning alone needs its own state licence. Roofing and sheet metal are licensed through DBPR, so if any repair falls in that territory, check MyFloridaLicense.com. Ask whoever you hire what they hold.
What moves the price
Angi's Orlando figures put the average near $171, with most jobs between $119 and $230 and difficult ones up to about $408, per its cost guide. Thumbtack shows a $125 starting price on one local profile, with extra for height, per its Winter Garden page. Both are third-party estimates.
The usual drivers are stories, linear feet of gutter, the amount of debris, guards, and downspouts. Storm debris after a hurricane can push a job up. Our own quote depends on your home and is given after we see the details.
When to book
Booking is easiest outside the rush. Weeks after a hurricane, gutter companies can be busy, and the same may be true just before the wet season, which the National Weather Service puts at a median start near May 27 or 28 (NWS Melbourne). Scheduling in spring, once the oak leaves and pollen have mostly dropped, may give you more choice.
Many homeowners settle on two visits a year. We can suggest a rhythm when we talk through the trees around your roof.
Association and city paperwork
If an HOA governs your home, check what it says about contractors working on exteriors. Cleaning rarely triggers review, but replacement of guards or gutters might. The Florida statute on architectural review is section 720.3035.
On the permit side, Orange County asks for a Notice of Commencement on roof work above $5,000; check whether the City of Winter Garden applies the same rule. A gutter clean-out is far smaller, but if repair grows into roofing work, ask whoever is doing the work which rules apply.
